Comprehensive Fall Protection for North Carolina Industries
Manufacturing & Industrial Production
North Carolina is a national leader in aerospace, automotive, and textile manufacturing, with extensive production facilities that require fall protection for assembly lines, elevated workstations, and heavy machinery maintenance. Workers operating at heights near conveyor belts, overhead cranes, and industrial storage require lifeline systems, modular guardrails, and personal fall arrest systems (PFAS) to prevent accidents.
Construction & Infrastructure Development
As one of the fastest-growing states, North Carolina’s construction sector includes high-rise commercial developments, residential expansion, and major roadway projects. Workers involved in steel erection, roofing, and scaffolding work are exposed to fall hazards that require leading-edge self-retracting lifelines (SRLs), engineered anchor systems, and passive fall protection such as perimeter guardrails. Ensuring compliance with OSHA 1926 Subpart M and local building codes is critical for worker safety and project completion.
Biotechnology & Pharmaceutical Facilities
With a strong presence in biopharmaceutical research and production, North Carolina’s Raleigh-Durham "Research Triangle" is home to some of the world’s top life sciences companies. Maintaining cleanroom environments, lab equipment, and industrial processing lines requires secure rooftop access systems, fall restraint solutions, and controlled maintenance areas to protect both workers and sensitive research environments.
Transportation & Logistics
As a key hub for freight rail, trucking, and air cargo, North Carolina’s transportation and warehousing industry depends on safe loading dock operations, elevated storage handling, and vehicle maintenance procedures. Employees working near loading platforms, mezzanines, and railcar service areas require overhead rigid rails, guardrails, and access platforms to reduce fall risks while ensuring smooth operations.
Energy & Utilities
North Carolina has a growing renewable energy sector, including solar farms, hydroelectric facilities, and traditional power plants. Workers responsible for power transmission, wind turbine maintenance, and substation servicing must have access to fall arrest anchors, vertical lifeline systems, and confined space entry solutions to remain compliant with OSHA 1910.269 and industry safety standards.
Understanding North Carolina’s OSHA & Safety Regulations
North Carolina operates its own state-run OSHA program (NC OSHA) under the North Carolina Department of Labor (NCDOL). NC OSHA enforces fall protection requirements that align with federal OSHA standards but also implements additional state-specific workplace safety programs to reduce fall-related incidents.
- General Industry (OSHA 1910 & NC OSHA Standards) – Fall protection is required at elevations of four feet or more.
- Construction Industry (OSHA 1926 & NC OSHA Standards) – Fall protection is required at elevations of six feet or more.
- Energy & Utilities (OSHA 1910.269) – Industry-specific fall protection required for power generation, renewable energy, and electrical grid maintenance.
NC OSHA also conducts statewide compliance inspections and employer consultation programs to help businesses meet or exceed national safety standards.

“They’ve been good partners to me. Any contractor would be pleased with the products and level of service they offer. When it comes to fall protection, they take the load off.”
