Nevada Fall Protection Systems
Protecting the Silver State Since 1994
Nevada’s economy is bolstered by key sectors such as hospitality, construction, mining, manufacturing, and renewable energy. Employees in these industries often perform tasks at elevated heights, making effective fall protection essential for safety and compliance with both federal OSHA and Nevada OSHA (NVOSHA) regulations.
Don’t wait until it’s too late. Prevent falls and close calls with a custom engineered fall protection system. Since 1994, Diversified Fall Protection has designed, fabricated, installed, inspected, and re-certified thousands of fall protection systems nationwide, including systems in Nevada. Thanks to the strategic location of DFP fabrication facilities and our ability to mobilize installation crews from the southwest portion of the country, Diversified can deliver cost-effective turnkey fall protection systems to our clients throughout Nevada, including Las Vegas, Henderson, Reno, North Las Vegas, Paradise, and more. Nevada’s Leading Industries & Fall Protection Needs
Hospitality & Entertainment
Nevada's world-famous hospitality and entertainment industry includes some of the most iconic hotels, casinos, and resorts in the country. These establishments require routine exterior maintenance, window cleaning, and rooftop work, where fall protection is crucial. Our overhead lifeline systems, guardrails, and personal fall arrest systems ensure worker safety while maintaining architectural aesthetics.
Featured Project: Palms Casino Fall Protection Solution
The Palms Casino near the Las Vegas Strip required a suspended access system for its extensive glass façade and decorative architectural features. The challenge was to provide a safe and discreet fall protection solution that wouldn’t interfere with the guest experience on the casino’s public patio.
To meet these needs, Diversified Fall Protection designed and installed:
- Removable wall anchors that seamlessly integrate into the structure, preserving the casino’s aesthetic.
- A custom-pinned telescoping outrigger beam extending up to 21 feet to allow safe access for window cleaning without obstructing public areas.
- A concealed storage system, allowing the outrigger beam to be disassembled and stored off-site when not in use.
This innovative solution ensures safety compliance while maintaining the high-end visual appeal of the casino. Today, the Palms Casino’s extensive glass surfaces can be cleaned safely, without visible anchorages or intrusive rigging equipment.
Construction
Nevada’s booming residential, commercial, and infrastructure development requires fall protection for workers on scaffolding, steel structures, and high-rise buildings. We provide temporary lifelines, leading-edge self-retracting devices (previously self-retracting lifelines), and safety monitoring systems to ensure compliance with OSHA 1926 Subpart M.
Mining
Nevada is a leader in gold, silver, and lithium mining, with many operations taking place in deep pits and elevated structures. Fall hazards are present in conveyor belt maintenance, processing plants, and underground excavation. Our lifeline systems, SRDs (previously SRLs) , and confined space solutions help protect workers in these high-risk environments.
Manufacturing
Nevada’s industrial manufacturing sector produces electronics, aerospace components, and food products, with workers frequently exposed to elevated platforms, assembly lines, and heavy machinery. Our custom-engineered guardrails, modular work platforms, and fall arrest systems ensure compliance with OSHA 1910 standards.
Renewable Energy
As Nevada expands its solar and wind energy infrastructure, technicians must work on elevated solar arrays, wind turbine nacelles, and utility poles. Our vertical climbing systems, rooftop anchor points, and mobile fall arrest solutions ensure safe and efficient operations.
Understanding Nevada's Regulatory Environment (NVOSHA Compliance)
Nevada enforces state-level OSHA regulations (NVOSHA), which operate under the Nevada Department of Business and Industry. Employers must comply with both federal OSHA standards and additional Nevada-specific requirements, including:
- General Industry (OSHA 1910 & NVOSHA Standards) – Fall protection is required at elevations of four feet or more.
- Construction Industry (OSHA 1926 & NVOSHA Standards) – Fall protection is required at elevations of six feet or more.
- Hospitality & Entertainment Regulations – Employers must provide safe access for exterior maintenance in high-rise buildings, including casinos, resorts, and entertainment venues.
NVOSHA also conducts targeted inspections for high-risk industries, including construction, hospitality, and mining, to ensure compliance with fall protection and worker safety standards.
